Good Enough

Dec 13, 2022

In our never-ending quest to be extraordinary, the idea of being “good enough” feels like it falls short.

It creates feelings of copping out, dialling it in, accepting laziness and mediocrity.

But aiming for perfection at all times is impossible.

Life is full of competing priorities. There are too many things to complete in too little time.

To maintain our schedule, the goal becomes completing things to an acceptable standard and moving on. “Good enough” removes you from the constraints of perfectionism to maximise your output.

There are always things that deserve more of your time and focus. Where your end goal is much closer to perfect.

For these important projects, good enough is simply not good enough.

For everything else, it just might be.
