The Good Stuff
May 13, 2025We save the good stuff.
The industrial-strength double-sided tape that never lets go.
The aged bottle of wine with a story behind the cork.
The precision-tipped fountain pen that glides like silk.
The untouched, linen-bound notebook with nothing but unbroken potential.
We save them for *someday*.
A project worthy of the tape. An occasion deserving of the wine. An idea important enough for the notebook and pen.
But then:
The tape sits too long and dries out.
The wine turns in the bottle.
The pen leaks and the notebook disappears in a forgotten box.
Because “someday” never came.
We thought we were being smart. Careful. Selective. We were waiting for the “right time”…
But maybe the right time was the framed quote you thought about putting up. Or the night your friend dropped by unexpectedly. Maybe it was this morning, when your ideas were strong enough to deserve that fresh page.
The good stuff is meant to be used. Not hoarded. Not hidden.
It’s good because it adds magic to an ordinary moment.
If we wait too long, we’re not saving it.
We’re wasting it.
