Head Space

Seven onboarding emails. That was the assignment.

Write the emails, make them work together, ship the sequence.

I postponed it for two weeks. I had the time. That wasn't the issue.

What I lacked was the head space to do the work. I simply didn't have the capacity to hold seven ideas in my head at once and see how they would connect.

Every day I found something else to do. Small tasks. Real tasks. Just not that one.

As I work more with AI, this problem only gets worse. I'm completing more work. But every agent I spin up is another output to review. More checking. Correcting. Reconciling the work against three other agents running at the same time.

The agents carry the work. I still carry the mental load. People think AI makes a job lighter. It doesn't. It swaps grunt work for checking work.

The seven emails didn't get easier because I used agents to help write them. They got easier when I had the head space to hold all seven ideas at once.

That's a capacity problem, and adding an agent won't solve it for you.
