Stop Blaming Your Ideas
Jul 08, 2025You hit publish.
But nothing happens.
No reactions. No comments. No signs that anyone cares.
And then doubt creeps in.
We assume we’re not clever enough. Not insightful enough. Not “good at writing.”
We picture someone scrolling all the way to the end and then deciding it wasn’t worth their time.
But more often, they never made it that far.
– They bounced after the first sentence.
– They skimmed and got confused.
– They saw a wall of text and gave up.
Never forget your readers are busy, distracted, and one thumb-scroll away from something shinier.
The problem might not be your idea. Or your voice. Or your skill. Sometimes, the issue is friction:
– Sentences too long
– Paragraphs too dense
– Fonts too small
– Openings too vague
– Headlines too weak
If it’s hard to read, it won’t be read.
And if you can’t keep them reading, they’ll never hear what you came to say.
