One Piece of Advice

Being an expert doesn’t make you a good teacher.

While an expert may identify numerous areas for a beginner's improvement, the sheer volume of suggestions can overwhelm and paralyse the learner.

Expert teachers, however, possess the skill to discern all improvement areas but choose to concentrate on one single piece of advice with the greatest impact.

This is the wisdom of focus — a deliberate choice to direct the learner's attention to where it will yield the most profound results.

It's not about overwhelming with knowledge.

The real skill in teaching is knowing what to ignore.

Clarity comes from simplicity.
