But Neil Armstrong made a mistake. He forgot a word. He meant to say:
"That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
Armstrong later wrote:
"There must be an 'a', I rehearsed it that way. I meant it that way. And I'm sure I said it that way."
When he heard the recording, he sighed and said,
"Damn, I really did it. I blew the first words on the moon, didn't I?"
No Neil, you didn't. But you did demonstrate an important lesson.
Remember it whenever you accidentally publish a typo or fluff a presentation.
